Saudi Fisheries Company is one of the first companies operating in this field in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The company established the shrimp farm in Al-Huraida Governorate on the Red Sea coast in 1993 which includes 108 troughs with a production capacity of 1743 tons per year. Has been implementing an extension of the shrimp farm by adding 70 landfills with a production capacity of 1257 tons per year. The total capacity of the shrimp farms will be 3000 tons per year, which can be developed to reach 6000 tons annually. The company also implemented the project of floating cages for fish farming in 2013 with a production capacity of 611 tons per year, which can be expanded to reach 18 cages of 60 m 2 and the project is still being implemented.
